Key to connection, Vladimir Shmoylov

As an art critic, I have had the pleasure of experiencing the work of Vladimir Shmoylov on multiple occasions. Each time, I have been struck by the way in which he masterfully explores the relationship between technology, design, and daily life in his work. His experimentation with everyday objects challenges viewers’ perceptions and encourages them to see the beauty and potential in the mundane.

One of Shmoylov’s standout pieces that I had the opportunity to view was an installation consisting of a bunch of keys hanging on a hook, held on a router. The use of keys in art can often symbolize the ordinary and mundane aspects of life, but in this installation, the keys take on a new, poetic life as they are placed on the router, commenting on the impact of technology on our daily existence. The placement of the keys on the router also serves as a commentary on the ways in which technology has become an integral part of our lives, often serving as a bridge between the physical and digital world.

Technical Aesthetics series, Vladimir Shmoylov

Another notable series by Shmoylov is the Technical Aesthetics posters, which feature ordinary household items that are transformed into works of art through the artist’s masterful use of materials and composition. The posters convey a message of the overlooked beauty in everyday life, reminding us that even the most mundane things can be transformed into something extraordinary when viewed through the lens of a master artist. The way in which Shmoylov uses materials to create a sense of harmony is truly remarkable, and it is this ability that sets him apart from other contemporary artists.

Shmoylov’s achievements and recognition in the art world speak volumes about his talent and contributions to the field of art. He is a member of the Union of Designers of Russia, and has won numerous awards for his work including the national competition Victoria in the category of industrial design in 2015 and 2016, as well as a Badge of Honor “For merits in the development of design” and gold medals for packaging design. These accolades are testament to the impact and significance of his work in the contemporary art world.

Vladimir Shmoylov’s art is a true celebration of the beauty of the everyday. His use of ordinary objects to create harmony and beauty in his work is a commentary on the overlooked beauty in everyday life, and his ability to seamlessly integrate technology and design into his work makes him a force to be reckoned with in the contemporary art world.

Vladimir Shmoylov is a force to be reckoned with in the contemporary art world. His experimentation with everyday objects has earned him a reputation as one of the most successful and innovative artists of our time. His art installations and posters, made from materials such as lanterns, light bulbs, and extension cords, are a testament to his ability to elevate the ordinary to the extraordinary.

Shmoylov’s work is deeply rooted in exploring the ways in which technology and design are constantly shaping our lives. He delves into the impact of new technologies such as the Internet and smartphones on our daily existence, as well as the social consequences that these changes bring. But what sets Shmoylov apart is his seamless integration of these themes into his work.

His art is not only thought-provoking, but it is also visually striking and pleasing to the eye. The way he uses materials to create a sense of harmony is truly remarkable. In his hands, even the most seemingly banal objects take on a new, poetic life.

Vladimir Shmoylov’s unique perspective and masterful use of materials are sure to leave a lasting impression on viewers. As an art critic, I believe that his work is a must-see for anyone interested in contemporary art and the ways in which technology and design shape our daily lives.
